An evening which put the spotlight on young up-and-coming singers fitted perfectly with Gethin’s musical philosophy.

Singer & Songwriter Beccy Owen performs for RNLI Station Appeal

AT a recent event held at the Shoreline, singer and songwriter Beccy Owen performed with all proceeds raised going towards the Burry Port RNLI New Lifeboat Station Appeal.

She performed a number of her own songs.

Beccy's family live in Burry Port and during one of her home visits she took some time out to help raise £460 for the appeal.

The cheque was presented to Crew Chairman Lee Fox by Mrs Kay Owen (Beccy's mother).

THERE is a big night coming up for Côr Meibion Llandybie as they hold their annual concert on Friday, June 8, at the Memorial Hall in Llandybie.

The choir will be joined by members of Côr Meibion Dinefwr.

MEMBERS of the Pontardulais Town Band are enjoying the benefits of new LED lighting after receiving a £2,000 grant from E.ON’s Energising Communities Fund.

The Swansea-based trio bring something new to the table with a modern twist on post punk fused with dark and edgy alternative rock.

The band have been playing just over a year and have performed at a number of venues.
