ON Monday July 23 at 12:00pm on the Mudiad Meithrin stand (FOR735) at the Royal Welsh Showground, Llanelwedd, pop star Ian ‘H’ Watkins, a member of the group Steps, and the versatile Welsh-language writer and performer Caryl Parry Jones will launch the second year of the national learning programme, ‘Clwb Cwtsh.’

Pontyates Walking Treasure Hunt

A Walking Treasure Hunt for all ages comes to Pontyates on Saturday (Jul 14).

It begins at 2pm at the Welfare Hall and costs £3 per adult with children aged under 11 for free.

Pembrey & Burry Port Carnival


THE 2018 Pembrey and Burry Port Carnival takes place this Saturday (July 7) at the Marina Fields in Burry Port Harbour.

On the day there will be a bunch of activities including a Pirate Stunt Show, live music from Leroy and Firewater, stalls, food and bar.

The parade will depart from Dyfatty at 1pm.

Tickets are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for children and O.A.P's.
