IT was a busy afternoon for the officers of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service as they attended two separate RTC’s in Llanelli yesterday, Tuesday (Dec 4).
At 03:58pm, firefighters from Llanelli attended a road traffic collision, involving one vehicle, on Station Road, Llanelli.
Firefighters used an appliance winch to make the vehicle safe.
Three casualties were treated by Paramedics at the scene with one of the casualties later conveyed to hospital by the Ambulance Service.
The Fire Service left the incident at 04:46pm.
Later on that evening at 06:09pm, firefighters from Llanelli attended a second road traffic collision, involving two vehicles, in Corporation Avenue, Llanelli.
Firefighters made the vehicles safe, using small gear, and assisted the Ambulance Service with administering care to three casualties.
The Fire Service left the incident at 06:46pm.
The service also received a visit from 4-year-old Kenzie. The ‘very brave’ boy had a toy stuck on his finger which needed removal by fire service crews utilising a ring cutter.
