ON a cold and blustery afternoon Burry Port FC Reserves welcomed Trostre FC Reserves to the Memorial Park for a much anticipated Reserve Division two top of the table clash.
Earlier in the day, Burry Port 1sts had to overcome an excellent Felinfoel side to win 4-2.
In the reserve game Burry Port had a bright start and after some great football took the lead through Tane Davies.
Burry should have added a second shortly later but Charlie was just wide of the target.
In a fiery affair, with both sides not backing down, Trostre got back into it with a goal from Elliott Lloyd.
Both Teams kept at each other in the second half with the referee giving a number of players stern lectures. This was the ref’s second game of the afternoon and he allowed the game to flow at every opportunity.
Mid way through the second half Davies got his second goal and it looked like they were heading for a win.
However Trostre were having none of it and with ten minutes to go and after a lot of direct ball pressure they scored the equaliser through Jonathan Thomas.
Both teams could have taken the victory at the end but battled out a draw which was a fair result.
