LEADING breast cancer charity Breast Cancer Care is running a free course in Llanelli to help women live life beyond breast cancer with confidence.

Police re-launch ‘Behave or Be Banned’ scheme

DYFED-Powys Police is working with licensees across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys to relaunch Behave or Be Banned (BOBB) – a scheme which sees people banned from pubs, clubs and bars for bad behaviour.

The scheme re-launches in time for the bank holiday weekend (on Friday, May 25) and Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPTs) across the force area are closely linked with businesses to reduce violence and disorder in pubs and clubs.

‘Lucky’ teenagers suffer minor injuries in single vehicle RTC

FOUR teenagers were 'incredibly lucky' after their vehicle rolled over and landed in a ditch in Pembrey.

DYFED-Powys Police confirmed that they attended a single vehicle RTC in the early hours of Thursday (May 24) on Mountain Road.

The occupants of the vehicle suffered minor cuts and bruises and were checked over by ambulance crews.

Glan-Y-Môr on top of the world

IT was an experience not to forget as 100 year 6 pupils of the Glan-Y-Môr family climbed Pen-Y-Fan on Wednesday (May 23).

Pupils from Ysgol y Castell, Pembrey, Burry Port and Pwll took part in the climb and were lucky enough to have clear blue skies throughout the day.

Head of School John Jones said: "It was an amazing day and a brilliant learning experience for the one hundred pupils."
