THERE was a large police presence in Marine Street, Llanelli last night, Tuesday (Nov 13).

Approximately 10 police vehicles were seen outside a property on the street.

Armed police were in attendance.

The road was temporary closed off in both directions.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in Marine Street on Tuesday, November 14th.

“A 16-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and currently remains in police custody.

“A quantity of white powder has been recovered and will be sent for analysis.”

Detective Sergeant Keith Mages said: “We take drug misuse very seriously and we will take the appropriate action required to ensure that our communities are protected.”
